Me & Elliot prepping spinach!

Some of you may have followed my adventure on Facebook last summer. I worked the “breakfast shift” at Camp Ballibay and would post an update almost every day with what we were cooking for the campers along with photos. Facebook followers scrambled for recipes of our homemade granola, banana bread and much much more.

This summer I’m returning to Ballibay with an even bigger job description. We’re expanding the garden and will be creating more kitchen and garden activities for interested campers. While I have some community garden experience thanks to my years at the SunRaven Mindful Gardening Project, I’m going to be climbing a steep learning curve this year as we grow greens, herbs and veggies for 200 hungry campers and counselors.
